Prayer For Those Without Christ

Here are some Scriptures to guide us in praying for those who don't follow Jesus. First, pray for ourselves to have the compassion of the Lord and to be willing, available, and prepared. Then pray for the the light of Christ to break through the darkness and for the new Followers to walk completely in Jesus.

Effective Workers
Matthew 9:37-38
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Romans 9:1-2
I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. (for the lost)
1 Timothy 2:4
Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Matthew 9:36
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.


Freedom from darkness
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Kings 8:60
that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.
2 Corinthians 4:4
whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Colossians 1:13
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.

And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good?
